About the Course
During this interactive and energetic program, you will become Global Ecologists, exploring your connection to the ocean and discover how we can each make a difference to protect the tiny creatures within it. You will get a thrill as you apply the scientific method to create a model of a coral reef, experiment to see the impact of pollution on the ecosystem and discover pollution solutions!

Curriculumn
You will get a thrill as you apply the Scientific Method with “EXPLOSIVE” results while they:
• Create a working model of a coral reef using household goods
• Experiment and research the impact of pollution on the ecosystem
• Identify how we are all impacted by ocean acidification
• Discover how we each can make a difference
You will have a fun time learning science and new skills, while seeing how we are all connected, so we are all affected!
Course Format
During the virtual hands-on experience, you will join a 50-minute on-line class through Ring Central or Zoom or other virtual meeting application and work to create a Science and Art in Nature journal guided each step of the way by Youth Environmental Alliance ecology and gardening experts. You will prepare for the class in advance by collecting readily available materials and household recyclables.
