Anti Discrimination and Grievance Policy

The following outlines the Privacy Policy for Youth Environmental Alliance Inc. related to the use of the website and other associated forms of print, text or email communications.

Please note that usage of any forms on the website and other forms of communication will result in the automatic signup for the Youth Environmental Alliance Inc. communications, which are typically limited to one or two newsletters per month. Users can opt out at any time directly on the communication footer or by contacting us at info@yeafrog.org.  Personal information is never sold or shared outside of the Youth Environmental Alliance Inc. organization or its service partners.

Anti-Discrimination Policy:  

Youth Environmental Alliance Inc. does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, disability, age, or sex in administration of its programs or activities, and, [Recipient Name] does not intimidate or retaliate against any individual or group because they have exercised their rights to participate in actions protected, or oppose action prohibited, by 40 C.F.R. Parts 5 and 7, or for the purpose of interfering with such rights. Kristen Hoss (current Executive Director) is responsible for coordination of compliance efforts and receipt of inquiries concerning non-discrimination requirements implemented by 40 C.F.R. Parts 5 and 7 (Non-discrimination in Programs or Activities Receiving Federal Assistance from the Environmental Protection Agency), including Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended; Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973; the Age Discrimination Act of 1975; Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972; and Section 13 of the Federal Water Pollution Control Act Amendments of 1972 (hereinafter referred to collectively as the federal non-discrimination laws). Grievance Procedures Policy:  

Youth Environmental Alliance Inc. (YEA) Does not discriminate based on race, color, national origin, sex, age, or disability and strives to be as inclusive as possible. If you are an employee, volunteer, client or participant of one of our programs, and you have a grievance, please contact the grievance coordinator, Kristen Hoss at 954-382-0188 or write an email to kristen@yeafrog.org within a week of the perceived violation. If there is a grievance against YEA or one of it’s employees, the grievance is written up and presented to the Board of directors for investigation and discussion. If it is determined that the grievance is founded, the following corrective action will be documented and the employee in question will sign the corrective action plan which is as follows: the employee in question will be re-trained and put on a 30-day probation. Throughout the probation period, the employee will be monitored for adherence to the policy and to ensure corrective actions have taken effect. At the end of the probation period, the employee will continue to be monitored for a total of 90-days to ensure compliance and an environment of inclusion. If the employee does not adhere to the YEA Anti-Discrimination Policy within the aforementioned timelines, the result will be termination.
