About the event

This intensive field course will teach you the latest in formal sampling protocols, with opportunities to carry out actual Citizen Science by measuring terrestrial and aquatic plant diversity. The mission of the Florida Master Naturalist Program (FMNP) is to promote awareness, understanding, and respect of Florida's natural world among Florida's citizens and visitors. You will earn a certification from our FMNP instructors using science-based information and interpretive techniques that help you learn about Florida's unique flora and fauna, and prepare you to share your knowledge with others. The program fosters principles of sustainability, connectivity, and biodiversity to assist others to understand and respect Florida's natural world as a community to which we all belong.
