Help lead fishing events that bring the fun of fishing to communities around South Florida. Demonstrate to youth and adults of all ages fishing skills as you take them through a live event to experience the joy of fishing.
About the Opportunity
Fishing for Fun?
Learn and teach children and adults of all ages and abilities how to fish on Florida's waterways and coaslines.
Coordinate and lead fishing events (schedules vary).
Fishing poles and tackle boxes granted by our partner Fish Florida for all participants! Help bring gear to and from the site.
Demonstrate basic fishing skills of tying hooks, baiting, casting, fishing safety and more.
Teach the importance that fish play in our ecosystem.
Ask volunteers to scan the code for to signup for recurring events!
Can also include taking photos at the event and talking to the public about the benefits of fishing and how to get involved!

Since 2005 Youth Environmental Alliance has been instrumental in providing all-inclusive programs that focus on natural sciences and environmental stewardship. These fun and engaging programs involve youth and the community in preserving and protecting our unique ecosystems and wildlife, at home, in the office, and in your communities. We offer programs for persons of all ages and abilities, including at risk youth and people with special needs.
